It's religion, stupid

The two sides of the current struggle are actually
three sides. Secular humanity, Religious humanity, and
the grumpy, poorly-potty-trained despots that take
advantage of the fact that religious humanity as a
matter of course lacks either the logical apparatus or
the will to engage in introspection necessary to
figure out that no one knows what happens to you when
you fucking die.
When people started translating the dusty old bible,
the priests got worried because they thought people
were going to catch on to the fact that most of the
shit they talked about all the time wasn't in there.
Much to their boy-diddling glee, they found out that
people in general were COMPLETELY incapable of
comprehending that which they read, and the few that
could were usually too in awe of the beautiful church
and the incense thingy and what they saw as God's
authority to risk damnation by way of a legitimate
accounting of ideas. If some rogue thinker did raise a
fuss they were usually easy to kill because everybody
already hated them.
And so, a situation persisted in which people believed
the priest as if he were speaking with the authority
of the almighty big daddy in the sky.
Politicians caught on quick, and even still today you
can see cockgobbling bastards talking like preachers
to trigger the "Yes Lord" response locked deep down in
the lizard brains of the masses of faith.
THIS IS POWERFUL SHIT and it has been backed into a
corner like a snarling dog by the progress of science
and reason. It is no different for Islam, Judaism or
any other belief in big angry men in the sky, or
devils, or ghosts.
These people will fight to the last man, trust me. The
stakes are unbelievably high. The leaders are fighting
to avoid the gallows and the masses are fighting for
their afterlives.
In Iraq, Iran, Indonesia, Canada, Madagascar,
everywhere, secular humanity is there. We know the
earth was not created in seven days. We know that
nobody filled a big boat with every fucking animal on
the planet.
And the people who are still hanging on to the reality
of myth, will die before they give in to the idea that
they can't control us.
