Know thy enemy (film at 11:00)

If you have been watching any of the mainstream media news shows during and since the London bombings, you cannot have but noticed the marked increase in fear mongering.
The usual boring, matter-of-fact news, weather, and sports, occasionally broken by small talk and vain attempts at humor by the members of the news team, have suddenly gone into overdrive with intense stone-faced seriousness.
Standing in front of a prop of the British Union Jack, with the words LONDON TERROR emblazoned upon it, a news person blurts out the words calculated to keep us in fear: TERRORISM, MUSLIM SUICIDE BOMBER, and of course, AL QAIDA.
This scenario is typical of the rule-through-fear strategy which the Bush junta and the embedded corporate controlled press have been successfully exploiting after 9/11. The mainstream media have joined the political criminals in the White House, helping to move their agenda forward by deceiving the American people.
These so-called members of the free press are nothing more than unethical, self-centered egotistical cowards who have sold out their journalistic credentials for corporate cash. They, like their wealthy politically connected masters, are below contempt.
These well-dressed hired assassins of the truth are doing more damage to our country than any foreign enemy could ever do. They, not those whom they would lead us to believe, are the real enemies of the people, along with their counterparts in government and corporate management. They do not hesitate to misrepresent the truth for their forty pieces of gold, putting their own selfish interests above that of the common good.
We are being victimized by government propaganda, skillfully and ceaselessly poisoning our minds with the help of the willing media whores, the result of which translates into support for practically any government policy regardless of the consequences. This long term brainwashing has so influenced thinking in this country that many people actually still believe that the illegal invasion of Iraq was unavoidable and totally justified to defend against attack from Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, and vengeance for Iraqi involvement in 9/11, both of which have proven to be untrue.
The outright lying and spinning of the truth by the mainstream press does not stop with foreign military adventures. They are just as determined to support the wealthy elite in their attempts to disenfranchise the American worker. In supporting Corporate America's commitment to the economic rip-off falsely known as free trade, with all of its dire consequences for the American labor force, the mainstream press has convinced the American worker that the loss of his job was due to the insatiable greed of the evil labor unions, which are responsible for America's economic decline. Nothing can be further from the truth.
It is not the insatiable greed of organized labor, but that of Corporate America with its almost unlimited resources, able to buy and sell any politician in Washington and get the legislation passed in their favor to the detriment of the average working man. It is Corporate America and their political lackeys in Washington which have hoodwinked the American people into war and economic ruin. However, they could never have succeeded without the full time efforts of their presstitutes.
As successful as the mass media's effort was to promote the Iraq war, and to sell out the American worker, it pales before the masterpiece of deception, the 2000 Presidential election, which installed Bush and his cabal in the White House, and the 'coverage' of the subsequent 9/11 attacks.
An independent free press would never have stood by and meekly accepted the results of an obviously flawed and manipulated election, and the ruling of a politicized Supreme Court. Nor would they have enthusiastically and without question embraced the Bush version of the 9/11 attacks, with all it's inconsistencies and unanswered questions, as the gospel truth. Nor would they have supported every Bush initiative including the draconian PATRIOT Act.
When eventually the entire system of lies and illusions collapses, we must not forget those who contributed to the death of our once-free and economically dynamic Republic. Along with the corrupt and treasonous politicians, the parasitic corporate thieves, the torturers and the war criminals, the lying propagandists of the mainstream media should also be brought before their victims, the American people, and allowed to plead their case before they are sentenced for their crimes.
