By a lopsided vote the House has approved more money
for Bush to wage wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
348-71.

There are 202 Democrats in the House, which means that the Democrats are solidly in favor
of continuing the wars.
The reason I say that is that you cannot trust
what politicians say. You watch what they do:
where does the money go, who do they drop bombs
on, what they vote for, etc.
On the same day, the Senate voted to increase
the federal debt limit to nearly $9 trillion.

And the Democrats abide.
With cushy retirement packages and gold-plated healthcare.
Full ride all the way rock-solid gerrymandered seats.
Would you speak up if that might mean losing your job?
They don't.
And won't.
That would mean finding honest work...
Because what is politics except the calculus of dishonesty?

that Bush's wars are treated as "off budget".
And not a word about stopping the red ink by
increasing tax revenues.

I guess this all means that the budget is going to
hell along with America
because there is no one who
can stop Bush. He may be a front man, a sock puppet,
but the Establishment solidly supports his main
policies: wars for oil, tax cuts for the rich,
and favors for corporate donors.
Remember the PNAC, Project for A New American Century?
That is starting to seem like the project to make it
the final American century.
