Americans don't know who they are anymore
|
by Leon Fisher, Unknown News

Like the defense lawyer trying to put the blame on his client's victim
for the rape, so do many Americans put the blame on the American worker,
especially the labor unions for the worsening economy. This is testimony to how
effective government/corporate controlled propaganda has been.
Quite
to the contrary, it was organized labor which forced the greedy
capitalists to pay a living wage to workers, to offer health care, a pension, and to
provide a safe workplace. Had it not been for union representation
forcing the fat cat monopolists to give the working man his fair share,
there probably would not have been a middle class America.
Those
shilling for the wealthy will point out that labor unions are full of
corruption, for instance Jimmy Hoffa and the Teamsters. True, but when
compared to the horrible conditions imposed upon the common working man
for millennia by a wealthy aristocracy, the petty crimes of a corrupt
union boss pale in comparison. Remember something called child labor?
The unceasing propaganda directed toward the American worker would have
us believe that workers are lazy, greedy, and unwilling to work hard. This
however, is just another lie to justify the wholesale relocation and
the outsourcing of once-American jobs overseas.
Americans, we are told, do not want
to clean toilet bowls, or do hard labor of any sort, and this is why the
illegal immigrants are taking our jobs. This is of course a total
lie. Americans do not have a problem getting their
hands dirty -- they do however dislike being exploited.

It was the sweat and hard work of the American worker which built America's great cities, railroads, and highways.
It was the American worker which made possible the arsenal of Democracy, the mighty industrial engine which made possible victory in World War II.
And it was the American worker which made Corporate America what it is today. There would have been nothing without the workers!

There's much more than this at Unknown News.

It was the sweat
and hard work of the American worker which built America's great cities,
railroads, and highways. It was the American worker which made possible
the arsenal of Democracy, the mighty industrial engine which made
possible victory in World War II. And it was the American worker which
made Corporate America what it is today. There would have been nothing
without the workers!
And Corporate America repays the American worker by corrupting our elected
representatives and sending our jobs overseas. They lie to us to gain our
support to justify illegal wars for corporate control of weaker nations
resources. They lie in order to steal billions of our tax dollars
for war profiteering. They lie to give our blood and the blood of
our sons to perpetuate their profits. They replace once-healthy and
thriving local economies with Wal-Marts paying minimum wage and offering no health
care.
Every passing day, this new world order, this so called "free
trade", is eroding 150 years of the hard won gains for American labor,
but very few people seem to care.
How effective the propaganda has been.
Americans don't know who they are anymore.
