Americans are waking up to Reality -- and it is scary!

by Mr. Chuckles, Unknown News

May 22, 2006

I do not know how everyone else feels but I have a few guesses.
We are grumpy and we feel that we have been lied to by pretty near everyone in the government. And we are worried about the future.

Many of us are disillusioned. Our illusions have been taken away -- dissed -- and the reality we now see is not very, very bad.

The TV spin about George W. Bush is that he is not getting credit for the "good economy" because of the Iraq war. If not for that, which we are told was at worst an

honest mistake of not enough troops to carry out the President's orders, then Americans would be happy and content.

That is pure bullshit, of course. The economy is "good" in the way that a person maxing out his credit cards to pay bills is in good shape. This economy's growth has been the result of low interest rates and borrowed money. During the Bush presidency the national debt increased by $3 trillion dollars. Just 5 years!

And this "War on Terror" thing is pure bullshit, too. Lots of people won't publicly admit that it is pure bullshit, but deep down the fact is recognized. If we were worried about terrorists getting into the country we would protect the borders and our ports. The illusion of "homeland security" was blown away this year when Bush & Co. tried to sell off control of American ports to a Middle Eastern country deeply involved in support for terrorism, and refused to stop millions of people crossing into the U.S. from Mexico.

The televised images will never be for-
gotten -- Bush on vacation playing guitar, and later, Bush flying over the disaster peer-

ing ignorantly out of the airplane's window, while thousands of people were drowning.

He did nothing for an entire week while people were dying.

It was inexcusable.

Of course people are worried about the future!  They recognize that their president is an idiot, a clueless bungler.

The fact that the "Leader of the Free World" is a moron is finally starting to scare people.

Finally, Americans are waking up to Reality -- and it is scary!

There's much more than this at Unknown News.
If millions of people, anyone really, can just walk across the border then how do you know Osama Bin Laden and an army of Al Qaeda guys didn't just walk in and set up shop somewhere in Texas or Arizona?

Americans are not stupid. When confronted with Real Facts we will do the arithmetic and figure out that 2 + 2 = 4. So when Bush goes on TV and says 2 + 2 = 22 we know he is lying, or an idiot who cannot do arithmetic, or both.

The truth is that Bush does get a lot of credit for the economy from people who own real estate and stocks. But we are worried about the future. We are worried about having jobs in the future. And we are worried about losing or not having health insurance. The American people have Common Sense, which is why we are unhappy with the direction of the country.

I do not know anyone, really, who gives a shit about the Middle East -- or China, or Russia or anywhere else -- on purely humanitarian grounds. Not enough to actually do anything.

We mostly care because about our own lives, and those of our children. We care to know, as GWB put it, "Is our children learning?"

We do not care about bringing Democracy to Iraq at gunpoint. We will be more pissed off later when the $500 billion bill for Iraq comes due.

An American soldier invented a word for America's strategy in Iraq, and I think it fits perfectly: "fucktarded".

"Fucktarded" just about sums up G.W. Bush. He is so stupid that if you flipped a coin and said, "Heads I win, tails you lose!" he would ask for two out of three.

I think people realize now that their president is an imbecile, and it is no longer funny to see him bumble words and put on his "Aw, shucks, I am just an ignorant turd farmer from Texas" act.

Bush lost his presidency when Katrina hit New Orleans. The televised images will never be forgotten -- Bush on vacation playing guitar, and later, Bush flying over the disaster peering ignorantly out of the airplane's window, while thousands of people were drowning.

The thing that is scariest, I think, is that when we turn on the television the news shows are not showing us the truth. It is creepy, like a horror show. We know the killer is lurking nearby but everyone on TV is trying to pretend that everything is normal... That is just weird, if you ask me, weird and terrifying.

The biggest news might be that Americans now know what's unspoken in the news.
