Take a stand against comprehensive lunacy

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to bring America's current crop of craven war criminals to justice.
|
That would of course be most of the administration of George 'Kid Slaughter' Bush. From Deadeye Dick Cheney to the last sycophant working in the bowels of lower Congressional hell, justice is the goal and delivering the misanthropic misdemeanants and the major felony players to the hallowed halls of judicial review is the prize. It may be a "Mission: Improbable", but it's always an excellent pursuit to keep one's eyes on the prize. Hell, a little peace and global stability is a worthy goal.
At The American Insurgent, it is a rational premise that the preponderance of current global instability is the handiwork of George 'Kid Slaughter' Bush and his minions in world domination and resource devastation. Here, there, and everywhere lie the dead bodies and rotting corpses that are the byproduct of the comprehensive lunacy that is Bush administrative policy. That's to include U.S. domestic policy, foreign policy, and military practice. There's nothing like a little illegal preemptive war to upset an already nervous global stage. Toss in some illegal detention, a dash of CIA rendition, a modicum of ill-advised torture, the ethnic cleansing of New Orleans, and the arthritic wheels of justice are gearing up to grind slowly.
The American Insurgent is reticent to admit that the mission is severely handicapped from the get-go. However the prize is a prize and seeing the Bush gang of forty-plus war criminals shackled, chained, and humbled in front of the very nice judges that sit the bench at the International Criminal Court at the Hague is worthy of any improbable effort.
That brings us to the really tricky part of the entire proposition. Is it possible to turn the tides of insanity that seem to be washing the very fabric of America's soul down a hellhole of no return? Damn straight it's possible, and given the universal cycle that balances all things eventually, a spritzing of long overdue karma could give the Bush gang a highly anticipated surprise.
Now it is a given that one shouldn't count on or expect too much from the U.S. Congress. The U.S. Congress is mired neck-deep in special interest corruption. One could venture that Congress is steeping in a sewer full of corporate excrement and have long ago bid the American people a fond adieu. Speaker of the House 'Bucks' Hastert says, "Bye-bye America and screw you!"
That's America's Congress for you. Congress has only ever been in it for the money. Lots and lots of money. Besides, Congress doesn't have to actually earn any money, Congress can just take what they need from the terminally bleeding American taxpayer. Yank goes the shrinking American paycheck and Congress gets theirs directly off the top before any American can even see any of it. Congress gets their pocket change from the likes of AIPAC and Wall Street so, after all, isn't that the American way?
The American Insurgent urges belligerence. Get belligerent with Congress, both the Senate and the House. Tell the pampered political lords of our slowly rotting America to knock their greedy and pestilent posturing off. Tell our political dance-kings to hold Bush and company to account. Send the Congress emails, letters, demands, and a lengthy list of "grievances" that needs to be addressed. Be defiant and question authority. Especially, be mocking. Mock the current "ideology" being marketed by Bush and company and throw their ridiculous crapola back in their faces.
The Bush ideology is an updated version of fascist Nazi swill with a dose of Soviet neo-conservative repression. Regardless of what George 'Kid Slaughter' Bush might say about Hezbollah or Iran, they are not America's enemy. Hezbollah is Israel's enemy, and that is comprehensively deserved by Israel. Screw Israel. Israel has got nothing coming except the possibility of an Israeli government visit to the Hague. Israel deserves a visit to the Hague, simply on account of the cluster bombs they dropped on innocent Lebanese women and children.
Sorry, I digress. See, I told you it was "Mission: Improbable." However, the call for justice MUST be made.
