New distractions are always welcome: 'Bring em on' |

I just want to remind those of you who still entertain the
fantasy that national elections in America are still legitimate, not to
forget to vote on Nov 7th. This, my friends, is going to be a big one.
Taking into consideration that both major political parties are one and
the same, let's see how things stack up. The Democratic wing of the
Republican Party has a lot to gain, while the

| Republican wing of the
Democratic Party has a lot to lose. The Republican wing of the Democratic
Party has been coming under increasing criticism by the Democratic wing
of the Republican Party for its support of the unpopular Iraq war which
the Democratic wing of the Republican Party has just voted to
appropriate billions more dollars to fund its continuation.
Not helping
matters for the Republican wing of the Democratic Party is the low
approval ratings of twice un-elected President, GW Bush, whose career in
Naval Aviation has gone nowhere since his one and only carrier landing
in 2003.
Also influencing voters in this coming election is the Foley
scandal, the timing of which could not have been better for both wings
of the same political party. Like the swift boat controversy of the last
Presidential election, the Foley scandal provides a welcome distraction
for the candidates who otherwise may be asked embarrassing questions
about issues that really matter. God forbid! And the Foley scandal also
provides an outlet for voters who have no idea whatsoever of the more
complex issues of the economy and foreign policy.
So it appears that the
Republican wing of the Democratic party will come out on the bottom this
time, giving the Democratic wing of the Republican Party their chance
lie to the people, ruin the economy, continue the war in Iraq and
Afghanistan, and borrow and spend trillions more.
In other words folks,
nothing is going to change, except for the worse.
But look at the
positive side, you can always tell those of us who did not vote that we
have no right to complain. Also, you can rest easy that you did your
duty as a good citizen voting for the only political party left in
America, the Democraticrepublican Party. God Bless America!
