Why are these elitists scared of "disaffected" people radicalizing themselves?
Well, lets look at this. First, what does it mean to be "disaffected?
One definition of disaffected is this:

Another, this:
| | A person who is alienated or estranged from those in authority or lacks
loyalty to the government; a state of mind. |
Basically it means a person who's "disaffected" cannot cope with being
dominated by these authoritarian personalities, whether they're in the White
House or in your house.
The elitists are having a paranoid
temper-tantrum. They fear we will stop serving them, stop playing by their
rules, stop doing everything we do as they want it done. They are terrified of losing.
So, what is the best way to keep people tame, non-threatening and
obedient, enthralled to the empty sound of authority and fearing its
stolen power?
One way is to forbid the people 'disaffected' expression and
commiseration about their own disaffection towards the authoritarians
oppressing them. Shut up the truth about abuse, bigotry, and war.
Silence the will inside the people to be free of abuse. Forbid
solidarity, limit human networks, shred the social safety net, and stop
the spread of human empathy. Make people afraid to share, sever kin
ties, interfere with friendships and social support networks of like-minded individuals gathering together to support one another.
If we're not silenced, we
might become strong and clear enough to see through the lies, and realize that by
working together as equals we can make a better life for ourselves, by
ourselves, instead of toiling within this "empire" and its rules and
mindgames.
We might not be interested in toiling within this "empire" and its rules. This loss of faith is a state of mind, an awakening, and this is what the Pentagon truly dreads: The people waking up, saying WTF am I doing this for? They fear that people might abandon their wonderful divine order and make their own way -- without the 'authorization' of the empire.
The authorities seek to control discussions, interfere with
debate, and shade the enlightened thinking of what things might be like without their system of top down "ordered liberties." The authoritarians
dominate the airwaves, threaten to shut down the web, and commercialize and
privatize every open space, so that people can never gather together long
enough to develop trust or familiarity with each other, so that people in all

Excerpt: Homeland Security is monitoring peace groups and even peering at their e-mails. "This information is being provided only to alert commanders and staff to potential terrorist activity or apprise them of other force protection issues."
It then shares that information with Joint Terrorism Task Forces, which include the FBI and state and local law enforcement, as well as with the Pentagon's notorious Talon (Threat and Local Observation Notice) program.

diversity can't begin to actually see their own lives of quiet
desperation in each others' experiences day to day. They don't want people to realize that their miseries are
not of their own making, and not all their own fault. They don't want people to stop blaming
themselves and beating themselves or each other up for not being "good
Germans".
When people understand whom and what the parasitic social systems of
"authority," power, and corruption are, and exactly how such systems and authorities impact their
lives overtly and covertly , people denied a right to be who they are
will become un enchanted or disaffected with authority. And soon after
that people will realize that their belief in that lie called "authority" is what makes
their lives so hard, pointless, deprived, and painful. Hierarchical
domination goes against nature, which is in fact democratic. And it hurts
us to force ourselves to pretend we are something we are not.
After that thought arrives, people may begin to act on it, begin to ask
themselves why do I listen to authority and believe in it and pretend the authority
figure helps me or cares about me, when so obviously the market and the
'divine order' does not care? It just wants to use, control, dominate and
exploit me.
Conservatism and corporatism, not just Neocon-ism, has a very dark authoritarian heart.
These sorts of "conservative" delusional belief systems are walls against
change for a reason. And they are crazy-making for those not in the
"top positions," for the same reason the authoritarians want us to
believe in it. For those on top in a 'conservative' culture, life is
good, easy, and seems so simple and richly rewarding. The world is their
oyster and theirs alone, precisely because through clever use of beliefs, they are
robbing us of all the pearls inside us.
These elites want us to believe in their silly divine order. Funny that they
always put themselves on top in that order, not some poor guy, or gay person, or disabled
person. No, it's always the same bully face on this empire's authority, and that's
one way the corrupt justify their decadent lives, to us and themselves.
And the lie they tell us from cradle to grave is all about how hierarchical order was always top down, and always will be, forever. Forever in
their control. For their own self-interest, they teach this lie to generations, because
they do not want to struggle, fight, argue, negotiate, feel
deprived, stressed, or live on a budget like the rest of us. They don’t want to suffer and die and have
their 'beautiful minds' sullied with ugly reality. They don't wanna live like the rest of us are forced to live.
They think they are better, think they are gods of
everything, and as long as we believe it and treat
them as such they'll keep on feeding us lies that kill us.
The authoritarian/narcissistic/psychopath personalities among us know
they've got a good scam going, scamming on all us tender-hearted dupes. They are
loathe to step down, give up control, and share the
wealth -- wealth they stole and never had a right to take from all of us.
The Earth is full of whatever we need. It always has been, and if we take care
of it and don't befoul our own nest it always will be.
But right now a control freak, a bully
sits atop the Earth. Long ago this manipulating bully thug hired armed
guards to keep anyone from stealing his booty. The many people who are
without things they need from this Earth will die, but not of deprivation. They die of a belief.
Everyone believes that the people
atop the Earth who run the society, the corporation, the government, the
household owns all the stuff. The soldiers believe it, and they will
kill to protect this illusion. The others believe it enough that they
are willing to die for this belief.
But the truth is that the Earth has been ravaged. There's plenty of stuff for everyone, but there are a few people making up rules and
systems sitting atop it all, so there are a lot of
suffering people. (mutated from Derrick Jensen's original Parable of the Box)
So what do they do now, the people sitting on top of the world, as they detect discontent in the rest of us? They
think people are losing their "religion," the belief system that keeps
their "leaders" well fed in luxury and security? So they call us degenerates for seeing through
the belief, call us lower quality people, less deserving, less
than human. They fear us, call us "radicals" because we don't
play the game any more -- the authoritarians' self-serving game of make believe.
What do these morally depraved elites do about the disaffected
frustration in the people they exploit, the frustration that is caused directly by their
own greed and desire to control and dominate the world and possess all
the stuff they stole? They forcibly try to close the minds of the
people, so their beliefs are not challenged and the game of make
believe is not broken and the enchantment of the lie is never spoken
where many can hear it and bite their masters hands.
If that counter-propaganda and social scapegoating game does not work, they will intrude
into our lives to supervise and enforce the belief as if it was true
even though we know it's a lie. Then if the threat of authority
intrusion fails, the authoritarians traumatize them like the bullies they
really are.
Funny how all the people who prefer to make believe and
play the game of authority share that same kind of moral inferiority,
the defect of authoritarian, narcissistic or psychopathic personality.
These degenerates will find an almost visceral affinity with an
authoritarian figure, they will obey him and the systems authority
makes.
The petty tyrant, like the master tyrant, likes to subjugate
others, for all tyrants like to keep their minds in a simple static
frozen world, rather than
face cognitive dissonance. Ultimately, tyrants are pathetic psychological and intellectual cowards who fear
change because they fear losing control -- even control of what they never had but so
strongly want to believe they possess. They have and want to hold on to this privilege to
destroy, to consume and crush to prop their hungry ghost-like egos upon...

Slowly over decades, the corporate authoritarian psychopaths in this
country always gravitate to positions of power. Under the
guise of good intentions, democracy, etc., they have done a lot to make the
people of America feel dependant
upon various experts, authority figures and the systems for their own
survival .. as if the authority was anything but a simple greedy person
with a huge ego proselytizing a self-serving belief system, who is no
more superior of a person to you or I or a garden slug.
Seeing through this belief in our "leaders" that is killing us, of course,
leads to more disaffection and "self-radicalization." People who want to
be free, want to learn and be full actualized human beings, ask themselves
Why can't I do that too ? Why can't I be who I wanna be? Why can't I live my life my way? I ain't hurting anyone. Why can't I say my thoughts,
or make my dreams come to fruition too? Why is it only the elitist
authoritarian thieves who get the biggest part of the Earth's and
civilizations bounty to waste on themselves? Who made them gods? Why
don't they share? They have plenty, why are they hoarding, don't they see
people suffering? Than it dawns on you: They do not care. And we ask
ourselves how did this happen?
And the real truth is that we, personally and impersonally, as individuals
and as a mass, we helped it happen because we believed! We denied our own
suffering and we chose to believe.
Little Eichmanns, every one of us, we went along.
We couldn't admit even to ourselves that the system we
live in is corrupted, wrong, destructive, anti human. It's robbing us of
our self actualization, our freedom to be, our happiness, our human
dignity, our connections to others, our skills to survive, and our ability to defend
ourselves from abusers. They've taken our very identities and replaced
it with a belief system that serves not us, but thier authority
game!
While we want so desperately to pretend all people are good
inside and can be changed, reality says this is not so.
And history repeats itself because we do not want to identify the beliefs
and the belief makers and destroy the authoritarian personalities who
are abusing us and killing this planet. We don't want to think that the whole
frickin way we live is a big game, and all authority is an empty noise, so history repeats.
When we let them sit on "the throne of the Earth," when we became
willing to do as they told us to do, and not ask why should I, as they
were permitted to distribute what was always ours back to us at a
cost, which is called 'profit', we sold away our sacred personhood to a
bully, an Empire, for a little food, a little security. We enslaved
ourselves to a bully and his enablers.
The day we went along with the
belief that some people could be bigger than ourselves, had privileged
status over us, were better than us, was the day of enslavement for all
of humanity.
On this planet we all must share, ownership of parts of the planet
was divided up by who could or could not afford the price the 'lord' was
demanding, and we buckled under to lies enforced by the
enablers of the hierarchy system. We gave in to rulers who ruled only by inflicting
traumas, imprisonment, war and death upon those who are 'disaffected', those who do not trust and have no love for a king or his
kingdom, no love for an authoritarian and his lie...
So we lost our
freedom to authority and Empire, lost our birthright as co sharers of all
the bounty of this Earth, lost our civilization ... to the Market. And we suffer.
Today, whether we realize it or not, authoritarians have an astonishing
amount of control. They control what we eat, wear, say, think, and do, how we spend our
time, who we can love, what we can create, where we can live. They make
up all the regulations and social mores, be they destructive to us or
not. And we obey that shit, because we believe it is real.
Only when the curtain draws thin, and the greedy take too much, and the
bullies become scared of losing their positions and perks, and the veil
between the classes is shopworn, only then do we begin to see Empire. It was all a
scam, and the disaffection for authority is broken, for the trust has been
exploited too much, and we are made to be in too much pain, stress, and the
social contract of mutual support is reneged upon too much, too unevenly.
Inequality becomes clear.
We for millennia have been coerced,
bullied, victimized, used up, and had by greedy, selfish, charismatic,
shallow, parasitic, predatory people with no consciences, huge egos, decadent fantasies, and a dread fear of true democracy.
There will
always be wannabe kings, and as long as wannabe kings get
a throne and an ear to make an obedient believer out of a
human being, or at least a 'moderate'
who will not oppose the unjust ordered liberty of conservatism, the poor and the crazy-making stress of this way of life
will always be with us.
OK, did I scare any self-serving greedy authoritarian lying assholes out
there yet? *Smirk* Yeah you, Mr BigShot -- you are nothing but a
parasite, paranoid, psychopath wannabe human being, and without the people
you subjugate and exploit day after day, the people you profit from, the people believing in your systems, you would be nothing. If you
actually had to live under your own oppression, inflicted upon you by the
disaffected you exploited, wounded and lied to, you would implode in fear.
And that payback is what
scares you most, when people fall out of love with authority,
isn't it? So, authoritarians, get your paranoid greedy thief asses off of
that liar's throne. Take off that crown of shit, you pathetic bullies. I
have no want of any of your shit by decree, or your empire mentality,
your 'ordered liberties', your 'divine order' , your grabbing games of I Pissed Here So I Own That.
I do not believe in your power over me, for I
am indeed a king,
and I am your equal in every
way -- and what I rule is
myself. With my conscience I reign over me, for my inner locus of
control, my mind, my body, my own choice is mine alone to own.
I rule My
Own Self, in total sovereignty that will not be usurped by a liar. The
Self is the only kingdom any of us can rightfully rule so absolutely,
in a real Democracy.
