Mission's accomplished, all right
|
by Don Nash, Unknown News
Nov. 29, 2006
Let's see, it was about May 2003 when America's Commander In Carnage stated, "Mission accomplished!" Right. We should all stop whatever it is we're doing, right now, and offer Incurious George

a ringing round of applause. Job well done and thumbs up and way to go and surely you can catch my drift.
The number of innocent Iraqi men, women, and children killed in action is closing in on about 700,000. Number of
|

| mindless military atrocities is closing in on the uncountable. Number of innocent illegally detained is "classified." Number of nations around our horribly suffering world that still count America as a friend and ally, you can count on one hand. Number of treasonable lies spoken by Bush and his merry band of war criminals is, well, impeachable.
Will the United States Congress hold this national horror to account? Don't hold your breath. The Democrats are as spineless as the Republicans are reprehensible. Republicans are mired in corruption but, the Democrats are mired in cowardice and
that is comprehensively worse.
America's political leadership is caught in a conundrum wrapped in an enigma. "What to do, oh, what to do?" How about America gets the hell out of Iraq.
How many more of America's boys and girls must die for Bush's criminal preemptive war of naked aggression on Iraq? Remember Condoleezza Rice and her infamous "smoking gun"? Remember those pesky weapons of mass destruction that Saddam Hussein was known by the Bush administration to be in possession of? Gone like the proverbial winds of change that Bush and the Republicans were to bring to America and our mostly trembling world. Delusions of mass destructive grandeur.
Oh, merciless immoral quagmire and civil wars of interminable slaughter. Remember Bush and his

The truly sad and depressing part is, the real cost of Bush's stupid little preemptive mistake will be realized in about five or so years. I'm curious to know just how excited America is going to be then.
America's future is dimming by the minute.

"compassionate conservatism"? Remember Hurricane Katrina and the devastated Gulf Coast? Remember that New York is still finding body parts left over from
9/11/01? However, New York must build that Freedom Tower. Now that is compassionate conservatism in bold and daring action. Right.
Did you know that as we speak, Baghdad is surrounded and the Americans are not only trapped, America is defeated in Iraq. It's true. Those brave and horribly alone military installations that incurious George was so proud of are taking mortar attacks on a regular basis and American media won't touch that pesky truth on a bet.
How many of America's boys and girls got themselves killed in the most recent attack that was barely reported by the brave media covering (up) the Iraq disaster? The reporters for some reason can't get out of the ‘green zone'. The video was telling even if the details were scant. The Iraq insurgency has got the American military dialed in and the slaughter will be horrific.
Mission is accomplished and the chickens have come home to roost in a manner of speaking. The truly sad and depressing part is, the real cost of Bush's stupid little preemptive mistake will be realized in about five or so years. I'm curious to know just how excited America is going to be then.
America's future is dimming by the minute.
The newly-elected congressional Democrats are ducking the Bush impeachment question like a bad rash. The Bush administration is worse than the cancer that was Richard Nixon and the sooner that America and Congress deal with the disease, the easier will come the cure. It will be painful but America's democracy is at stake here and the Democrats show every sign of not being up to the necessary task.
Cowardice is more appalling than the Bush tyranny. Hey, John Kerry, is the slaughter of American boys and girls more important than, say, justice and the preservation of America's fading democracy? I'm just asking, that's all.
Wow, come to think of it, maybe it is "mission accomplished". America might be done, and Iraq was the straw that broke the nation's back.
