Worries not usually spoken aloud

The dissident opposition in this country, due to its imposed
condition of chaotic disorganization (as opposed to the orderly
disorganization of the military for instance), would have no way of
discovering if it was being targeted with "sub-
lethal" biological weapons in attempts to manipulate and emasculate it. These days, if
you are politically active on the left, you can no longer be sure
that it is just something "going around." It could conceivably be
something "being sent around" as the need arises.

functional for about a month now. The most prolonged set of symptoms

offices, my daughter is a child care worker, and we live with a
four year old who goes to day care, so it is most likely that we are
just suffering our just desserts for being involved with a germy
demographic. But how would we politically active people know for
sure?
In advanced industrial countries the public health
professionals could, and would, answer this question for us by
assiduously tracking disease outbreaks. But we do not live in an
advanced industrial country. We have only the tattered remnants of a
public health system (this topic is discussed at length in the book
Betrayal of Trust), and therefore we can not know what we need to
know about infectious diseases that afflict us.
A note for those prone to panic: Nothing in this discussion implies
that this kind of speculation is about a form of "domestic germ
warfare" that is threatening to the general population. I am talking
about a "tool" more than a weapon, something only useful in
limited circumstances and applying to small numbers of people over
limited time frames.
Of course, this was also true of the "anthrax
attacks" which involved limited exposures, but that didn't keep the
population at large from full-on irrational panic. For instance, I
remember one particularly out-of-control post office employee going
"postal" in my pediatric clinic in Red Bluff, California, demanding
treatment for his "exposure" to anthrax. Appropriate treatment in
this case meant calling security and keeping everyone behind closed
doors for an hour or so while he was removed from the
building. Scary, especially for the little children trapped behind
closed exam room doors, forced to listen to his yelling and
threats. Not to mention what it did to waiting room times.
Sometimes I think paranoia is my only comfort. As I understand the
depravity of those currently in charge, it is reasonable to expect
that they would take advantage of the easy option to develop, and
use, "debilitating" ("fatal" would be too indiscriminate and attract
too much attention) viral illnesses targeted at the dissident
opposition. Most of us amongst the visible dissidents seem to be
over the hill "tiger meat" (my phrase to describe the evolutionary
advantage of having slow, older persons along on the hunt). Plausible
deniability is a cinch in the case of us old folks, considering how frequently
we are ill under normal circumstances. However,
carefully targeted illnesses in younger people would also be
virtually impossible to detect.
When the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of South Africa looked into the apartheid regime
(built pretty much on the same blueprint as our current regime in the
US by the way) it was revealed that every sort of diabolical measure
had been developed, and often used, in their campaign to stay in power.
Historically, and most overtly in Angola and South West Africa (now
Namibia), our secret police services (CIA, DIA, NSA and private
security services) and many of their current employees were deeply
involved with the apartheid people and their plans. The Mossad was
also implicated in supporting the apartheid regime, but the linkages
are so strong between the Mossad and this abbreviated list of US spy
organizations as to make distinctions between such foreign secret
services and those of the US merely superficial.
| |
There is no reason
to believe that these secret services have changed their spots. There
are plenty of proven precedents available to cause a reasonable concern
in informed people about diabolical biological attacks against
individuals and small groups of dissidents.
That American government would resort to this sort of thing is hardly a
fantasy. All kinds of "sub-lethal" weaponry have been described
recently in the mass media and on the net. Threats to use them
against the political opposition are hardly veiled (witness the
propaganda campaign about the "heat ray" weapon and its application
to "civil disturbances").
The anthrax attacks have sunk below the horizon of news
consciousness, but circumstantial evidence (the only kind we will
have until we have our own Truth Commission, if ever) points to
official involvement (weaponized anthrax spores traced to an Army
biological weapons lab, etc.). This is only the most obvious episode of "non-
lethal" attacks (anthrax is easy to manage if diagnosed and treated in time)
on US citizens and opposition leaders for domestic political
purposes. There is also the well-exposed history of biological
warfare tests conducted on US populations (the spraying of supposedly "non-lethal" bacteria on
San Francisco, for instance).
With the advent of the very powerful science of genetic engineering
of microorganisms, it strains credulity to argue that
specifically-designed pathological organisms would not be considered
as a potential political weapon by people who have shown no restraint
in their war-making. The "vaccination program for first
responders" (which I am theoretically eligible for due to my MD, but
refuse to participate in) is the sort of arrangement one would need
to implement if one meant to use biological warfare against one's own
population on a more general basis, and needed to send in the troops
to deal with an "outbreak." The "terrorism" scam fits in nicely as a
means to evade accountability for domestic biological warfare in an
atmosphere where the population has been conditioned to expect random
acts of "violence" by cartoonish "terrorist."
Our paranoia is protective when it keeps us alert and aware.
However, the paranoia of the leadership is, arguably, the greatest
threat we face. Maybe we could just offer amnesty, hereditary noble
titles maybe and guaranteed (massive) incomes to get them to cool
down before they destroy everything, including themselves, due to
their massive case of thieves' paranoia.
These times are so much like those just prior to WWI and WWII it is
just silly. The German Weimar Republic, which was established just
after WWI in Germany,
has many parallels to the situation in the US today. It looks like
the Weimar Republic was set up as a scam, a false government that
actually wielded little actual power. It was a cover for continued
military control of the country on behalf of a powerful German
military/industrial complex in the wake of WWI. and was continually
obstructed in its expressed political goals by these same forces.
It
is almost comical to note that GW Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was
implicated in this skullduggery by arranging secret financing of the
German fascist. In the light of history, the Weimar Republic can be
seen as merely a stalking nag for the eventual formal takeover by an
aggressive militarist regime.
Is our current "Republic" just such a
stalking horse for a planned overt authoritarian militarist take over
of the US? What kinds of measures would be considered unacceptable
to such plotters?
A "terrorist" incident, the burning of the Reichstag (the German
Parliament building), which has been reported by William L. Shirer in
The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich as being a false flag
operation carried out by the Nazis in order to gain total power, was
the end of the Weimar Republic and the beginning of Nazi power.
Shades of 9/11? Guernica as their Faluja? Diabolical was their middle
name. Sound familiar?
History constantly has to repeat itself because so few people listen.
