What is the death toll now?
|
by Mr. Chuckles, Unknown News
April 2, 2007
The death toll from Hurricane Bush
has now exceeded one million.
|
Count the 600,000 Iraqis dead now
who would not have been if not for
Bush's invasion. Add the Afghans
and the Africans. And the people of
New Orleans who died because Bush
did nothing, dead by his Sins of Omission.
Many people might quibble that the
number is less than one million. But count
the number of people surely fated to die --
sentenced to an early grave though we
know not yet the dates, the places or
their names. They will die of future
wars that could have been avoided. They
will die of hunger, of neglect, of
easily treated ailments ignored. They
will die because of squandered resources
and destructive governance.
This president who speaks of Jesus has
hands covered with blood and guts. The
tortures
|
|
committed under his authority
ought to be enough to sentence him to
life in prison, yet the sheer number of
deaths directly attributable to him are
not yet a source of shame in America.
The bands still play, "Hail to the Chief"
when Bush enters a room.
The reporters are
respectful and tolerate his evasions
and misleading statements -- apparently
still proud of being given the opportunity
to ask the great man a question.
The
Christian religious leaders have not yet
covered their heads with sackcloth and
ashes, weeping in repentance for their part
in bringing this creature to the highest
position of power in the land -- their
blood-drenched hands are outstretched
every Sunday morning, holding their wretched and
unholy collection plates.
Other politicians
say "mistakes were made" and continue to
cooperate with the war criminal heading
their government!
It is sickening to see these leaders,
our politicians, preachers and reporters,
still tiptoeing around the dead, putrefying
GOP elephant in the living room. Who can
respect such people? They are either clueless
or totally without morality or a sense of
shame.
Future historians will hold George Bush as
one of the greatest mass murderers in history.
He will be ranked alongside Stalin,
Mao, Hitler and Mussolini. Corporate, church, and political
leaders who backed him -- and continue to back
him now -- should be prosecuted with him at
the Hague, as accessories in his crimes against humanity.
I doubt that will
happen, but the names of Bush, Cheney, and their collaborators will be
reviled for all of time to come. They had better
hope that the fire and damnation or their purported Hell is
not real!
