When the dark curtain finally closes
Re Face the fear, people
I was inspired into action by an article I read authored by Sherri B., and her thoughts on our current situation .she starts by saying "we’re screwed”.
We are in the final stages of a societal meltdown. An enormous change in the way we spend our days, and live our lives. We don’t know what this means yet. Most of us have lived in relative comfort and safety. Suffering is relative to what you have experienced in your life.
We are alive on this planet, at this time watching our supposedly advanced society devour itself. We see that the entire system is crumbling, rotten and unsustainable. None of us alive today are going to be spared the shit storm heading our direction. And none of us really know what to expect.
That’s why it’s so scary.
If it were just a human power struggle it would be bad enough -- global wars, martial

The uncomfortable reality is that we are screwed.
There are no good options available to us at this point.
The only thing I can think to do is to help minimize the suffering of those that care enough to find a safe place to ride out the storm.
I don’t believe it will do any good to struggle against this.
The snowball has picked up too much speed to be stopped now, even if you could reform our broken government into a compassionate and functional democracy.
The economic, geopolitical damage has been done.

| law, hungry, frightened humans, general mayhem and chaos. You know, the lack of most everything that is normal in our daily lives.
Team that with the cyclical weather related extremes, 2012, planet X and what ever else that your mind has soaked in. All of this driving you mad with fear and paranoia. We all know it’s going to be bad, we just don’t know how bad.
As Sherri B. suggests,” face the fear”. My favorite quote as of late is Louis Pasteur’s, “Chance favors the prepared mind.” I believe that searching for the truth is an odd calling. Looking at our world without backing down from the difficult realities that can paralyze your soul and stun your emotional psyche is not for the faint of heart.
I have often wondered why a human would be so compelled to keep digging, trying to understand a subject that is so uncomfortable to digest. Then I realized that maybe it desensitizes our brain to the inevitable, coming to terms with our fears. Things you used to consider unthinkable are now the norm. The uncomfortable reality is that we are screwed. There are no good options available to us at this point. The only thing I can think to do is to help minimize the suffering of those that care enough to find a safe place to ride out the storm.
I don’t believe it will do any good to struggle against this .The snowball has picked up too much speed to be stopped now, even if you could reform our broken government into a compassionate and functional democracy. The economic, geopolitical damage has been done.
As someone once said, our problems are to big for us to fix, we are still in the same unfortunate position. We supplied the labor in exchange for their fake money, to buy our distractive goodies. We stood in line to cast our votes for the fools they declared our leaders .Our designated leaders then went about the world with our okey-dokey destroying other cultures in the name of freedom. We deserve whatever unusual punishment we get. It's our own fault, we demanded no justice. Now it’s too late.
All we can do is watch our future unfold, and prepare for the worst.
I for one will be relieved when the dark curtain finally closes on a very long tumultuous personal journey. It has taken its toll on my personal life. I find myself isolated, cynical and often angry at having my life cut short by these vial creatures.
Be smart, make the tough decisions, This is as good as it's going to get.
I wish all of you the best of luck.

And my husband accuses *me* of cynicism? :|
You've written a fine combination of cynicism and eloquence. How I wish I could disagree with something you've said ...

Because we respect peoples' privacy, we do not keep records of friends' and contributors' contact information. This means we can't forward private communications between readers and writers, but we always welcome dialogue for publication.
When we publish incoming emails, we usually edit out the sender's last name, email address, or anything else that would tend to uniquely identify the author (if we slip up, please let us know). But if your email is unambiguously intended only to annoy, insult, or threaten us, we'll publish all the details, and leave it on-line forever.
We're especially interested in hearing and considering different perspectives. All we ask is that you conduct yourself sanely and civilly. For the most productive dialogue, it helps if you'll cite a specific article or concept we've gotten wrong.

But please, don't email us unless you're really and truly, honestly, actually trying to send the publishers of News a communication you're not sending to anyone or everyone else.
Please don't send attachments or other cr*p we don't want.
If you're trying to reach us but getting no reply, it's probably because you've sent us cr*p we don't want, so we're filtering your emails into the trash, unopened and unread.
If you'd like to have your email address unblocked, simply send a sincere apology (from an un-blocked email address).
