Blue Iowa progressive turns Republican Red

If you would’ve told me ten years, or even ten months ago that I would be
registering as a Republican, I would have laughed in your face as I kicked
you in the ribs. Well, color me purple. Let me explain.
I see no future in the Democratic presidential candidates. With the
exception of Dennis Kucinich, they are business-as-usual politicos who serve
their own political and financial ambitions first, Israel second, and
America last. Dennis Kucinich, whom I caucused for in ’04, is a wonderful,
thoughtful man of conscience who is too honest and intelligent and not
charismatic enough to become president. God bless you, Dennis, I hope you
go on to become Senator and continue to lead the liberal causes in Congress.
Just stay out of small planes.
I will be caucusing for Ron Paul. If you have not heard of this maverick
Congressman, you probably have not been on the Internet lately. He has
DOMINATED the GOP debates, as reported in EVERY online poll. Why? He is a
strict Constitutionalist and he speaks the truth. The mainstream media
HATES this guy and does their best to marginalize him. He has no major
support from corporate or international lackeys. He is running a true
grassroots campaign that is exploding. Why?
He opposed the PATRIOT Act when other congressmen were bleating like sheep.
He opposed the war and voted against giving the President war powers.
He opposes the phony “War on Drugs”
He is a physician, who understands that accurate treatment matters - in
medicine and in government.
He acknowledges that the Federal Income Tax is unconstitutional and that the
IRS needs to be abolished.
Surprisingly, although he is a true conservative, about half of his
supporters are progressives like me, who are fed up with the Neocon monsters,
and despair that the Dems will never grow a sac. I don’t agree with every
single thing he stands for, but dammit, he STANDS for something, is against
foreign military adventurism, corporate influence in government, phony wars, government
intervention in our lives, and is for cutting our bloated military and
returning America to a sound economic and diplomatic footing. Sounds pretty
good to me.
Ron Paul is a Republican in name only, and has voted against every law which
does not conform to the constitution. Don’t take my word for it, check it
