Diagnosis: Bush is a criminal What we can do as psychiatrists is to call a spade a spade
PP, that is, Psychotic Personality. Folks who are intelligent, ingratiating, smooth, AND HAVE NO CONSCIENCE.Linking Bush's behavior to father et al weakens our case. Psychobabble. Besides, it's wrong. Criminality is a brain problem, not a mind problem. Again, not Oedipal or any other fancy formulation. The diagnosis is on full display. We the People don't need psychiatrists, just our own smarts and common sense. We have eyes to see and ears to hear. Nothing more is needed. What we can do as psychiatrists is to call a spade a spade. BUSH IS A CRIMINAL! That We the People can understand, if drawn to our attention. Paul Krugman, Robert Scheer, Maureen Down come close to putting the diagnosis of "criminal" in print. "Narcissistic" and "megalomania" and "paranoia" are all aspects of his criminal mind. These are secondary to his criminality. Bush has never been happier than now. Everyone is against him, yet he retains absolute power. We're all helplessly standing by, and the Republicans are supreme enablers. The Supreme Godfather. He can hardly conceal his mirth and joy at every press conference. That's not paranoia or narcissism or megalomania. That's a triumphant criminal mind. The Godfather stands alone! Superior to every aspect of civilization. With Bush, that includes the entire world! What to do? I agree with [Dr Frank], the country is in grave danger. Impeachment won't fly. Out of 250 Republican senators and reps, only eight voted with the Democrats to merely set a timetable for exiting Iraq. What about getting a joint statement from our former presidents Perhaps the military will not carry out his command to nuclear bomb Iran. Or wherever. Your idea is a good one. Perhaps the military will not obey Bush's criminal orders, as you suggest. Has any criminal ever given up power voluntarily?
Because we respect peoples' privacy, we do not keep records of friends' and contributors' contact information. This means we can't forward private communications between readers and writers, but we always welcome dialogue for publication. When we publish incoming emails, we usually edit out the sender's last name, email address, or anything else that would tend to uniquely identify the author (if we slip up, please let us know). But if your email is unambiguously intended only to annoy, insult, or threaten us, we'll publish all the details, and leave it on-line forever. We're especially interested in hearing and considering different perspectives. All we ask is that you conduct yourself sanely and civilly. For the most productive dialogue, it helps if you'll cite a specific article or concept we've gotten wrong. You can contact Helen & Harry at <newsuneed at yahoo.com>. If that address ever fails, our back-up email address is <unknownnews at inbox.com>. But please, don't email us unless you're really and truly, honestly, actually trying to send the publishers of News a communication you're not sending to anyone or everyone else. Please don't send attachments or other cr*p we don't want. If you're trying to reach us but getting no reply, it's probably because you've sent us cr*p we don't want, so we're filtering your emails into the trash, unopened and unread. If you'd like to have your email address unblocked, simply send a sincere apology (from an un-blocked email address). |
