What if it's all on purpose?
As I finish my cigarette, I watch as the lawn people do their work with the blowers and the mowers and the edgers. They are mostly smaller people, kind of dark skinned, they’re doing a pretty good job, getting things done and avoiding us with their equipment. When I come back down for my next smoke, I know they’ll be gone and all will be shipshape. While I’m upstairs, I know that I’ll be fixing things that weren’t done right in the first place, asking others why this or that would be done in this or that fashion and pretty much getting a lackadaisical response, as if it didn’t matter. To interrupt me, my boss will lay an issue on my desk that needs immediate attention. I look, it’s nothing really important but I call anyway And again, some muckity-muck had no idea how to do something that I think is simple, but they knew that they could call my boss and jump to the head of the line. No 'tier 1' support, no 'tier 2' support, without calling the standard line that everyone else calls, they get top-of-the-line 'Tier 3' support, right off the bat… Oh, well. Least I still get my paycheck on a regular basis. Once I’m finished being used for the day, I head home, still wondering. I have to imagine, though, the current administration cannot be as stupid as they seem. (I’ve got a lot of time to think these things through, I drive an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening just to keep getting my paycheck.) But you know, it can’t be true. They can’t be this stupid. So while considering just how bad they have screwed things up, I want to be aware of as many possibilities as possible… and I look at the possibility that things might be going as planned. I mean, there is total chaos in Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran is dealing with the IAEA, sweating out a possibility of nuclear extermination, Syria just got lit up by Israel, the Palestinians are in about the worst shape ever, Russia and China are new best buds, torture, renditions, mini-nukes, global economy crash, depleted uranium, GIs going haywire due to the stress, mercenaries without a law, everyone in the world hates America, global warming seems to be accelerating the glacier melts at an alarming rate, not to mention the ice-free passages in the northern regions, but is it possible that we are indeed being out-thought? That all this is on purpose? Ya just gotta wonder (take off from Devo) Self? How did we get here??? Is it possible that we are arriving at a pre-destined location? I mean, OK, right now, not only America is upon a precipice, it appears the all of the persons on this planet who are less than rich could possibly be exterminated. If the global economy crashes, only those less than rich people that eek out a living hand to mouth already will have much of a chance because their world will change only a little. The impact of higher prices will not reach into their world, but those of us that are scraping to get something on the table by trading their labor for coins will find that there is no longer enough coins to buy some beans and cornmeal. They will have no chance to grow some beans, corn or pretty much anything else, they have nowhere to even put down some seed even if they wanted to. So, while this seemed to have some possibilities, I thought further. I wondered again. Is it possible that a global economy crash might be intended? If you were within the upper echelon and it looked like peak oil might have some credence, and you could not punch too many holes in the global warming scheme, what could you do to make more resources available to you and those like you? It seems that a global economy crash would solve a number of problems, if you were amongst the elite. If it were to happen without those that are holding our dollars (many governments) being able to turn them into some sort of compensation, then those that are divested from the dollar (in precious metals and such or other items that held wealth without regard to either the stock market or the currency schemes) would stand to be the practical rulers of planet earth. What would it matter that our military is now broken, they would not be needed, the first ever mercenary army is cutting its teeth on many new domestic and foreign venues. And that leads me to wonder, finally, out of the 6 billion people, how many would survive such a crash? Crap, I wish I lived closer to where I work… Hugs and screams...
