Today I caught a pedophile

While on a walk I noticed a man who just didn't look right. Most might
have just brushed him off as a homeless person because of his shabby
appearance.
You know when someone's going to approach you, and that's the
feeling I got from him. Sure as hell, he opened his mouth to say something
and I just said, ''Don't bother me, mate!'' and he turned down the street.
He
walked with a slight limp and he was smoking a cigarette. We were walking
in opposite directions. I usually feel sorry for the homeless but as I
walked I just kept having visions of him hurting someone. I couldn't
shake it.
About fifteen minutes later I was on my way back home, walking on
the same long block,

| and this time I saw him walking on the other side,
again in the opposite direction. He didn't see me. There were two
young girls who looked to be 11 or 12 walking towards him, and he was
about 30 feet from them.
I turned my head to see if traffic was clear
enough to get across, and then he was not there. Shit, where'd he go? The girls
were headed around the corner. He must have turn around ahead of them, where there's a parking lot.
How'd he walk so fast with a limp?, I wondered.
As I looked up the street I watched for the girls to pass the parking
lot, and lo and behold, I saw them run to the other side as if something
scared them. Sure as hell, a few minutes later I see this same man walking towards
them -- no limp this time.
So I crossed and followed and watched as he tried to catch up with them. I
didn't let any of them out of my sight and I didn't let them see me
either.
At the same time, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a cop car. Believe it or
not, I usually see no less then ten during one of my walks. No sooner
did I think it when down the block going the opposite way comes a police SUV.
So I flagged him down but had to wait till he made a U turn.
Just then I
heard the girls yell, ''Get away from me, you creep!'' Finally the cop was
there. I let him know about what I saw and heard.
He asked me to describe what the man looked like, and after I do he showed me a
piece of paper with a sketch of four guys and says, ''He wouldn't happen
to look like any of these, did he?'' Holy shit, I said, this one -- that's
him!
It said a the top of the cops' paper, Most Wanted Pedophiles.
I didn't hang around. I had my daughter with me.
When I got home twenty minutes later, I called the police, because I
remembered the number on the car and the officer's badge #, to find out
what happened. They told me he was arrested, then they took my phone
number, and about a half hour later I got a call from the police officer
thanking me for being so observant. He jokingly asked me if I needed a
job.
No thanks, I said.
