Talking empty heads on radio

by Leon Fisher, Unknown News
leonjfisher@webtv.net       December 11, 2007

I listen to the WABC, radio 770 on the dial in New York, every Sunday when I am off work. Anyone who has ever listened to WABC radio is familiar with the tone of most of their programs, which is right wing invective and disinformation, the lion's share of which is heard on weekdays. Being broadcast are talk shows hosted by some of America's top right-wing spinmeisters such as the Joseph Goebbels of the Republican Party and supporter and apologist for the Bush Regime, Rush Limbaugh, and self-
styled rock-ribbed Republican conservative attack dog from Franklin Square, Long Island, Sean Hannity, among others. Well anyway, you get the picture.

Had I not opposed the Clinton Administration in the '90s, which the WABC talk show hosts unceasingly criticized day and night, it is unlikely I would never have tuned into these fascist lunatics to begin with. However, after the stolen Election of 2000, these same WABC Radio talk show hosts would not say anything critical of GW Bush, despite his shredding of the Constitution and war mongering. This was enough for me to send an e mail to WABC denouncing them for their brownshirt mentality.

It is obvious from listening to these Wall Street shills on WABC that they have their marching orders from their political and corporate masters to try and minimize the unfolding financial debacle to discourage a run on the banks and divestment in the stock Market.
The sole purpose I have of late to still listen to this radio station is to monitor what is being said, the point of which is to understand one's enemy -- you cannot ignore him -- which brings us back to the Sunday programming. Surviving Religion On The Line, with its attacks on Moslems and calls for war with Iran, is the Stock Market investment show hosted by Ric Edelman, investment broker, who is all but totally ignoring the meltdown of what is left of our Economy and the plummeting value of the Dollar. Not only is he not warning of the coming disaster in which investors stand to lose their shirts, but he is encouraging his listeners to make further investments in the Stock Market. Unbelievable!

Next is a show dealing with home improvement, and than a travel show, followed by yet another investment program hosted by Bob Brinker. The only way to describe this guy and his show is that of an arrogant know-it-all who disagrees with most of his callers. And like the earlier investment show, he encourages the simple-minded fools who ask his advice to invest even more of their savings into the Market.

It is obvious from listening to these Wall Street shills on WABC that they have their marching orders from their political and corporate masters to try and minimize the unfolding financial debacle to discourage a run on the banks and divestment in the stock Market.

Despite their best attempts at damage control this financial Titanic is rapidly beginning to take on water and is going to sink, no matter how many times the Fed changes the interest rates, or how much fiat money the Federal Reserve dumps into the failing banks. Nor will changing the rules make those irresponsible individuals who sought these mortgages, the payments of which they knew they could never afford to pay, reverse the situation.

The next huge financial failure to manifest itself will most likely will be that of credit card default, which will open the door wide to what none of these financial wheeler dealer talking heads on the radio dare mention, DEPRESSION!
