Hey, where were you?
I saw it coming in my own life of make believe money in the nic of time. I chose to wake up before I fell of the cliff with the rest of the brainwashed sheeple. I rid myself of the plastic in 1997. Every January for the last four years the same BS story about how Christmas sales were robust and then later in February you would hear a short little blip on the news about how it was all paid for in credit cards and they would add, no-one is saving money any more... Well, they can't hide the truth any more. It's so bad and in their faces there's no way and nowhere to avoid it. The recession has been here for years. Again most people are willing to still believe the garbage, the spin and lies the newspapers and sorry to say their government is selling them. It still makes them feel good and at ease, allowing themselves to be fooled again and again. They were just playing games with money they didn't have. Equity loans. Second and third mortgages. Fooling people who had no real income into believing they could afford a house. Real estate agencies twisting their ARMs (no pun intended). Even allowing them to lie about how much money they made. Bankruptcies! Hell, they started when Clinton took office, they were at an all time high when he left office. Why do you think Bush got the laws changed? In those two Clinton terms people were screaming for financial help, help from their hospital bills, from illnesses that cost them a month or more time off work, which made them fall behind in all their bills so bad they had to file bankruptcy. And Clinton and Bush and all the rest of the status quo ignored this and downright denied it. Just last week I heard Bill Clinton say that most of the RECENT bankruptcies were due to catastrophic debt from illness. Well he took his time didn't he. So together for almost 16 years two pResidents of the same ilk even though they claim to be of different political parties have been taking this country to yet another new low. So don't write back saying I have a preference for one over the other. I DON'T! I equally despise both. The system CAN NOT be fixed in its present broken-down state. It must collapse and we must go through the years of change and deal with a tough ordeal. Somehow we better find the strength within each other to pick up what ever pieces we have left and start over again, this time hoping the ones that made it fall get crushed in the ashes or are forced to run from it and never show their evil faces again.
Because we respect peoples' privacy, we do not keep records of friends' and contributors' contact information. This means we can't forward private communications between readers and writers, but we always welcome dialogue for publication. When we publish incoming emails, we usually edit out the sender's last name, email address, or anything else that would tend to uniquely identify the author (if we slip up, please let us know). But if your email is unambiguously intended only to annoy, insult, or threaten us, we'll publish all the details, and leave it on-line forever. We're especially interested in hearing and considering different perspectives. All we ask is that you conduct yourself sanely and civilly. For the most productive dialogue, it helps if you'll cite a specific article or concept we've gotten wrong. You can contact Helen & Harry at <newsuneed at yahoo.com>. If that address ever fails, our back-up email address is <unknownnews at inbox.com>. But please, don't email us unless you're really and truly, honestly, actually trying to send the publishers of News a communication you're not sending to anyone or everyone else. Please don't send attachments or other cr*p we don't want. If you're trying to reach us but getting no reply, it's probably because you've sent us cr*p we don't want, so we're filtering your emails into the trash, unopened and unread. If you'd like to have your email address unblocked, simply send a sincere apology (from an un-blocked email address).
