An open letter to His Majesty,
King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein,
the 43rd generation direct descendant of
the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)

Your Majesty: That is some impressive lineage. "43rd direct descendant" from the
Prophet Muhammad. Yes it is. I was able to research my lineage back
to one lone Norwegian lady named Torgesautter. Goes back about not
very far. My point being, I am a worm and that should be obvious from
the git. There's no "royal" blood in my veins. Again, obviously. Our
world has seen not very many "holy" men so, being a direct descendant
from a true "holy" man is quite something indeed.
So I ask, Your Majesty, how does the dire circumstance in Gulag Gaza sit with
you? I ask because I haven't read much about anything you may or may
not have to say about the suffering of Palestinians in the Gulag Gaza
or even in Auschwitz the West Bank. Aren't the Palestinian people
your brothers? Let's see, your royal biography says that you are King
of the Hashemite Kingdom. I did a Google search and pulled up the
official Jordanian website and presto, there you were, as was your
royal biography. So, aren't Palestinians and Hashemites the same
people? I could be mistaken and I can admit that readily. I make
mistakes all the time. I am a worm, and again, I state the obvious.

You see, the Israelis are killing Palestinians. That's hardly big
news. Israelis have been killing Palestinians for a long time. It's
just that more recently, the Israelis have trapped Palestinians
inside a concentration camp called the Gulag Gaza. Wow, isn't that
simply awful? I think it's more than awful, I think it's properly
called 'ethnic cleansing' or probably genocide. Yeah, I'd have to
stick with that last designation. Gosh, what would the Prophet
Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) have to say about that? I'm thinking
that the Prophet Muhammad would probably be rather upset that
Israelis are killing Palestinians with impunity.
Your Kingliness, I'm not trying to be insulting here. I'm trying hard
to understand how it is that Israelis can kill Palestinians with
impunity and the world does ABSOLUTELY nothing to stop the massacre.
The world does nothing to stop the Palestinian imprisonment in the
Gulag Gaza or Auschwitz the West Bank. Our world's leaders remain
eerily silent about the horror and why would that be? Wow, maybe the
world's leaders are scared to death of the Israelis. The Israelis on
the surface, seem a rather nasty lot but, our world shouldn't be
afraid of the Israelis. I don't think that Palestinians are afraid of
the Israelis. The Palestinians are certainly outgunned by the
Israelis and that's more than frightening. It is after all, pretty
easy to bully an unarmed and defenseless people. Cowardly? Yeah,
probably cowardly.
So I write this open letter to you as, well, it wouldn't do any good
to write to Hosni Mubarak of Egypt. Did you see what the Egyptians
did to the Palestinians after the Palestinians broke out of the Gulag
Gaza? The Egyptians water-cannoned men, women, and children. Not very brotherly. Gosh, would the Prophet Muhammad
sanction the use of water-cannons on innocent Palestinian men,
women, and children? I ask as, well, you're the 43rd direct
descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and if anyone
would possibly know what the Prophet might think about all of this
outrage, it would be you.
Now, I'm an American and I realize that poses about two strikes
against me and anything I might have to say on the matter. It's that
George Bush's "crusade" against Muslims motif and I've spoken out
about that to Bush and most of U.S. government and that hasn't won me
too many friends in my country. Bush doesn't listen to anything or
anyone except Dick 'shotgun' Cheney and Ehud Olmert of Israel. By the
by, what is the matter with Olmert? He seems wholly out to lunch if
you catch my drift. In my fly speck section of our sorely troubled
planet, Olmert seems murderously insane, but that's just my "worm's
eye view" of things. However and all the obvious being stated,
something MUST happen to stop the horror in the Gulag Gaza AND
Auschwitz the West Bank.
I can't write to the Syrian government as my wondrous government
has blacklisted the Syrians, and I think that just sucks. I can't
write to the Lebanese as, well, the Lebanese seem about in bad a
shape as are the Palestinians. Who is there left to write to about my
concerns? Israel needs to stop their ethnic cleansing, or genocide if
you will, of Palestinians. This is serious.
I'd write to Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan but, old Hamid admits freely
to being America's puppet. Golly, old Hamid admits that as a proud
fact. Would that leave old Hamid to being Bush's lap doggie like Tony
Blair? Yikes, that's more than a little sick and wrong. "Bark, bark
George, gots a biscuit?"
Your Imminence, can't you use your considerable influence and do
something for the Palestinians? I'm not having a bit of luck. You're
the 43rd direct descendant of the Prophet and that's got to count
for something more than a worm such as myself. How about a massive
Middle East sit-down strike against Israel? How about a massive 'day
of rage' at the Israelis? What about closing Jordan's borders and
suspending trade with Israel and stuff like that there?
Oh yeah, I tried writing to the Israelis and all I got was a rude
"You're an anti-Semite" slap on the face. Golly, those Israelis are
touchy if they are anything. One can't criticize the Israelis but the
Israelis can brutalize the Palestinians without recrimination. Mercy,
I think that sucks worse than my government's blacklisting the Syrians.
You must surely sense my frustration with events and global affairs.
Being a worm can be utterly frustrating and about my only means of
irritating global leaders and affairs is by well, by being
irritating. I've got that schtick down pat.
So, how would the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) deal with Palestine's
miseries? How should the King of the Hashemite Kingdom deal with the
horror that faces the Palestinian people? Possibly the question
should be, are the Palestinians worth anything at all? I think that
the Palestinians are MY brothers and sisters and ever since the
situation turned black in the Gulag Gaza, I am Palestinian and am
darned proud to say so. I'm firmly of the opinion that Israel needs
to lighten up and knock their crap off right now. However being the
worm that I am, I may have an earthy world view that's more than a
little tainted by dirt and stuff.
So I suppose I've misspoken and it's worlds of 'not my place' to say
squat. But come on, something must be done and done quickly. When the
numbers of dead Palestinians are equal to the numbers of dead Iraqis,
will it be enough to say something then? What would the Prophet have
to say? I did ask the Pope, by the by, and the Pope didn't have
anything to say whatsoever. I get that a lot, you see. Yeah, I suppose
I should just shut up and go away but that's not going to happen.
Your Majesty, I mean you no disrespect or insult. I chose the 'open
letter' forum as a way to possibly get my voice heard by you, by
anyone in a position to placate the ethnic slaughter of a people that
can only want what any human wants -- a little "life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness," and that isn't meant to seem maudlin, nor
jingoistic in any "Bush" sense of the term. Golly, that George Bush
is mostly a dummy. However that's America's problem and hopefully,
we'll be rid of that menace soon enough. That is, if Bush doesn't drag
our world into a nuclear world war end of it all. Were America's
Bushy-Bush-Bush to wax nuclear on our shared tiny planet, the
Palestinians would then become mostly irrelevant. We all become
mostly irrelevant. Yikes, now there's a cheery thought.
Anyway being the 43rd direct descendant and all, isn't there
something you can do or devise or surmise or something. ANYTHING AT ALL?
