Not all need drown as America sinks
by Kathy Fisher, Unknown News

Just like Leon and myself, Amy Goodman has always been a Ralph Nader supporter.
Yeah, I know, he can't win, but it's not about that. This is not the World
Series.
This is about blows against this Empire.
I want to send a message to the thugs who have invaded my country. I'm part of a
small group of people doing what's right, not a great number of people
selling themselves short by letting the lesser of two evils take the
country down.
When I voted for Ron Paul at the last minute, I knew he wasn't going to win, and that I was in the minority. I would
not have been in a minority if more felt they should take action and get
behind this man. In my heart AND my head I knew |
|
|
I did something right.
I voted out of respect for the man who put himself out on a limb. Someone who wants the same things I do. I asked for someone who shared the
same ideas, and there he was, so why wouldn't I give him my support? I asked
for someone who shares the same beliefs as I do to run for president,
and there he was!
And not because I was greatly enthusiastic about voting. Why can't anyone get that!
I am fully aware that all the votes were not counted.
What else is news?
Doing anything else would be hypocritical on my part.
And yes, I still like Nader, a man who is not in the slightest way swayed
or beholding to the CORPORATOCRACY! Last time I checked, Nader didn't
vote for the War on Terror, Nader did not take US jobs abroad, didn't favor
NAFTA, didn't buy the official White House version on 9/11. He does however oppose a bloated military and intelligence budgets.
He's not for the feds controlling our money, and he's not in anyone's
pocket. So WTF is wrong with him to so many people who say they want
change?
What is it with you people? Do you hate your seatbelts and your safety
glass? Do you hate OSHA?
The fucking voters are as much to blame as the goddamn system that keeps
us all slaves. Yes, they get the government they deserve because they are
not willing to fight for the government they need. They come out every
four years and pick another new slave master and, because they know two
or three people with ideas of decency and common sense running can't win
due to a crooked corrupt bought and paid for media that sleep with the
Washington whores, a great many of my fellow citizens continue to give up
and crawl under a rock and write essays on the internet screaming the
end is near and there's nowhere to go but down into the gallows, while the majority of voters pick the team they think can win just
like the stupid sports enthusiast. How completely worthless that way of
thinking is.
If you are going to vote and there is a person willing to
lay his or her ass on the line with views and ideas that are against the
ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE, then come out and cast a vote for that person who
shares the same views as you.
These same people who claim to want change sit on their hands and stay
home when there are a few good people risking it all to come out a make
a stand for what is right. They tell it like it is. We all know how bad
it is and we heard how much worse it's going to get but by god let's not go
down with this rotting stinking ship of despair. Stand with the brave
one who are coming to speak for us when we need them the most.
It's not about the numbers it's about our principles.
The lifeboats are few but the swimmers are strong. They will survive
because they have a fight left in them.
Small numbers will say no and they might die saying no -- but they will
not go passively without some noise. Defiance is the birth pain of
revolution.
Warning people the end is near is one thing, helping them prepare for
the fight that's coming is another.
Keep in mind we can demand anything from the status quo, writing a
million letters to the current Congresscritters and Disrepresentaters, but
our pleas will only fall on deaf ears...
