Monopoly money
by Pavel C., Unknown News May 26, 2008

George Bush's much publicized propaganda about an
"Ownership Society" is a fraud, just like his Cut-Taxes-And-Spend fiscal policies and his "War on
Terror" national defense. The best way to
explain
the fraud is to compare the Bush Ownership Society
economy to the game of Monopoly.
Basically, in Monopoly, the entire purpose of the
game is to accept government (the Bank) handouts
and to squat on real estate which can then be used
to bankrupt other players by charging rents which
exceed their income. Do that and you win, just like
in the Bush "Ownership Society" economy. Both are
Zero Sum games.
Monopoly is also similar to the Bush economy
because there is no net production. Actually,
America has negative production and prints
unimaginably huge amounts of money to make up for
the trade and budget deficits.
When the Cut-Taxes-And-Spend apologists of the Bush
Regime disparage "socialism" and wealth
redistribution, they imagine a game of Monopoly
where the players collect money from the bank but
refuse to charge each other rents and everyone
circles the board forever while singing "Kumbaya".
That sounds really boring and pointless, but it
might be preferable in Real Life to the horrible
quagmires we are now suffering.
I am providing you this information as a public
service, because it pleases me to do so. I never had
a clue what US "money" really was when I was
younger, and it is only now after years of study
and gameplay that I begin to see the nature of the
US money fraud (I am a slow learner but a pit bull
once I grasp a concept!)

My recommendation for us USers is that we find some
middle ground which respects property rights
without bankrupting and ruining the lives of tens
or hundreds of millions of people. I think the
"game of life" will be more enjoyable if we treat
everyone decently and provide basic medical care,
food, housing and education as part of the basic
welfare "package". This will mean temporarily reducing the
rents earned by certain corporations, but overall
the gameplay will be improved and we will feel
better about ourselves in the long run.
