Loyalty to what? by Herb Ruhs, MD Our government has clearly demonstrated that it is not loyal to we the people. Therefore we owe no debt of loyalty to the government. At some point in the future, if and when the people again are in control of our government, we will need to repudiate all the actions of our current illegitimate government. Until such time every citizen needs to become clear in their understanding that, in every instance where it is practical, we must withdraw every measure of cooperation with the criminals who have stolen our government that we possibly can. What particular measures are practical for a given individual must be the responsibility of that individual. No concerted action is possible at this time as we effectively have had a police state imposed on us and the risks are too great for those who would wish to formally organize to effectively resist this tyranny.
A good place to start withdrawing cooperation is to encourage family and friends to discount everything they hear from mass media, much as the citizens of the former USSR knew to ignore anything communicated to them by their mass media. Every official announcement is some form of lie, distortion or disinformation even when it concerns real events. As an argument for this I would point out to people that the "news" broadcast by CNN USA is totally different from the news broadcast by CNN International. Other things to do include: enhance your family's ability to exist self-sufficiently, plant gardens, invest in off the grid power, solar water heaters, etc.; start using alternative economic structures such as barter, services such as Freecycle, cooperative organizations as sources of food and fuel; work locally to involve local governments in creative initiatives to help local economies survive such as supporting alternative currency systems (like the Ithaca, NY system), employment opportunities and cooperative public transportation services; start forming neighborhood organizations that can facilitate mutual aid and information sharing. Good luck. We are in for REALLY interesting times, a real E-ticket experience. Cooperation trumps casting blame. Resist the impulse to point fingers at neighbors, and make connections instead. It occurs to me that stores starved for credit to buy inventory could offer discounts and interest on positive balances. If a store offered me twenty percent off and ten percent interest on minimum daily positive balances over a certain amount I would be inclined to guestimate how much I was likely to spend and then just pay into my account and most likely I would pay cash to keep my minimum balance if necessary. This would leave the store with the cash necessary to make bulk purchases. Herb Ruhs, MD PERMANENT LINK
