McCain, Palin, and other sideshow freaks

by Chris D.

I've just discovered a new rule of thumb for the Republican Party for when they throw baseless and deranged accusations about: If they say somebody else did it, then they really mean
they're doing it. I mean, come on already!

Obama not a natural born citizen? He was born in Hawaii, McCain in Panama.

Obama soft on security? Yet to be seen, but the McCain plan is to go on a killing spree and hope for the best.

Obama associates with terrorists? He served on a board with a 'citizen of the year' whilst McCain funded the Contras and dined with Pinochet.

Obama linked to a crazy preacher? The Reverend Wright may be passionate about America's mis-steps, but just take a look at McCain's cell-phone buddy list.

Obama's a socialist? Not so much, but Palin is quite proud of Alaska's collective ownership of its resources.

Obama supports live birth abortion? You're kidding, right? Besides, Palin has all but given the thumbs up to 'aborting' doctors and their clinics.

ACORN commits voter registration fraud? In no way, shape, form, or stretch of some quite wild imaginations. The GOP, however, disenfranchises hundreds of thousands while discouraging millions more eligible voters. There are even some elaborate ruses that can't quite be linked.

Republicans and their supporters, in a direct contrast to the hand-to-mouth lives of many people who vote Democratic, live instead in a state of perpetual foot-in-mouth. It's not just the politicians themselves, oh no. Even their supporters scare the living sh*t out of me. I mean it's bad enough that people like Palin and Bachmann keep making outrageously mis-informed statements on things it's apparent they know less than nothing about, France being a fantastic example, it seems like some of their voters are even less informed and downright proud of it. Open racists, religious zealots, deluded fanatics, violent sociopaths, college dropouts that think education is the devil, assh*les who support slavery, morons who think Europe is a singular third world country, the list goes on.

To be fair, I have spoken with people who support the Republican Party and the conservative outlook who were quite far from insane. Their points were relevant, rational, even intelligent. But their numbers are dwarfed by the sideshow freaks making asses of themselves as they vandalize and threaten with little or no basis. Here's hoping you can pull your country up out of the mud, my American friends. Heaven only knows why you've tolerated being dragged through it this long.
