Stupidity, ignorance, and fear masked as patriotism are barely amusing anymore. It's like eating a puffed rice cake for every meal. You know exactly what to expect, it always tastes the same, and it's never very fulfilling.
On this page we offer something different, something to nourish anyone with a functioning heart and brain, something more rewarding to the palate, perhaps with a candy shell or creamy center. Nougat would also be acceptable.
Although it's obviously important to shine the unblinking spotlight of shame on corrupt politicians, crooked cops, election fraud, shoddy journalism, and the war on freedom, it's even MORE important to champion good neighbors, sensible Samaritans, and ordinary heroes. It's precisely because their motivations are selfless and caring that they go largely unacknowledged.
These Unknown Honors are bestowed upon the odd, the eccentric, and the extraordinary, the unknown few whose accomplishments might not have made headlines, but should have, and who made their corner of the world a better place.
